Re: Emenike
Looks like he's got an impressive shot on him. Lots of power.

Re: Emenike
With the build and low centre of gravity that Pop Robson had, I'd be happy if he scored a fraction of Pop's goals for us.

Re: Emenike
The guy has been a very successful club and International striker over the years. Plenty of strikers have lean patches (Torres, Shevchenko)...he looks the right build and strength for the league.

Chances are he could go on to be a top player for us. A real no-lose signing, that upgraded the squad, and gives some competition to Sakho for the rest of the season and possibly longer.

Re: Emenike
Not sure he can do much more than perform against who is in front of him and we've had plenty of strikers that have failed against lower league opposition in the past.

It was a decent performance whatever why you look at it and his performance against Norwich wasn't bad either.

True it was against a beaten, rather poor Blackburn side but of course this shows WHO at its very best with people either being negative or people going OTT.

Re: Emenike
He is a really useful back up but it was Blackburn a team struggling in the Championship not a top half PL club we were playing.

Re: Emenike
Yep Sakho's a good forward. I'd not rule out Eminike as being a more effective and direct central striker though. And no I don't recall him being quite as much of a goal hanger as Eminike.

2 goals and he's shit? Only on WHO

Re: Emenike
Looks way off the pace for the Premiership to me. Needs to be fitter and much sharper. Been playing in a poor league and it shows. I think he'll find it hard to make much impact. I don't remember him winning much if anything in the air and often his first touch let him down. Don't be blinded by these 2 goals against a poor Blackburn side who were down to 10 men. I certainly didn't see much threat from him in the first half.

He did look composed in front of goal and made decent runs off the back of defenders. He was a good player a few years back. If we can get him fit he may be useful but I think we'll have others back soon who will get regular football in front of him.

Re: Carroll Injured Again
I'd rather Zarate than Emenike from the looks of things. One is a moody bastard but has loads of ability, the other one is approaching 50 but seems like a nice bloke.

Shame I don't have the time but plenty more like this around Riosleftsock, Sir Alfs etc etc etc

Sakho

Also for someone his size his pace is quite impressive.

When have we had a 4th choice striker who can score goals? If fact when have we had a 4th choice striker!!!!!!! I like him...

Rossal 11:08 Mon Feb 22
Re: Emenike
Took the second well, worked hard and got himself in good goalscoring positions

However it was against a piss poor back 5, more needs to be done before im convinced we should sign him permanently

Re: Emenike
Good to buy a striker that
1. Scores goals
2. Will create more urgency and competition in the other strikers
3. Seems to know where the goal is

Re: Emenike
If he stays fit, I can see him being a regular. He may not look too silky, but I like the look of his raw bustling style. He took his goals well.

Loved the finish for his 2nd. Too often, these days, when a forward is one on one with a keeper, he just blasts it. Loved that he took it round him.

Re: Emenike
From what I have seen he might just be what we needed to finish the side off for this season,we can go on a run now and beat Spurs and Mancs would be great.

I told my son that we'd signed he asked me if it was the real "emineke"
